What are NasalFlow nasal strips?

How do nasal strips work?

Each strip has flexible bands built into it. Once applied across the bridge of your nose, the bands try to straighten out, gently lifting the sides of your nose and widening your nasal passages. More room means air flows through your nose more easily, with no sprays or tablets involved.

Are NasalFlow nasal strips drug-free?

Yes. NasalFlow strips work mechanically by opening your nose, so there is no medication, spray or active ingredient. That makes them a good option if you prefer a drug-free way to breathe more easily.

What size are NasalFlow nasal strips?

NasalFlow strips come in one large size, measuring 66mm x 19mm, which fits most adult noses. The strip should sit across the bridge of your nose with the ends resting just above the flare of your nostrils.

Do nasal strips work for snoring?

Nasal strips can help reduce snoring caused by a blocked or narrow nose. By opening your nasal passages, they make it easier to breathe through your nose while you sleep, which can mean quieter nights for you and your partner. Nasal strips do not treat sleep apnoea.

Can nasal strips help with a blocked nose?

Can I use nasal strips during exercise?

Yes. Many people wear nasal strips while running, cycling or training to make nasal breathing easier. Apply the strip to clean, dry skin before you start, as sweat can stop it sticking properly.

How long can I wear a nasal strip?

You can wear a NasalFlow strip for up to 12 hours in any 24-hour period. That is plenty for a full night's sleep. Do not wear strips for more than 12 hours a day, and remove the strip straight away if your skin becomes sore or irritated.

How do I apply a nasal strip?

Wash and dry your nose so it is free of oil, moisturiser and make-up. Peel off the backing without touching the adhesive, then place the strip across the bridge of your nose, just above the flare of your nostrils. Press both ends down firmly and run your finger along the strip so it sticks fully.

How do I remove a nasal strip without hurting my skin?

The easiest way is to remove it while washing your face or in the shower. Warm water loosens the adhesive, so you can slowly peel the strip off from each end. Avoid pulling it off quickly while it is dry.

Can I reuse a nasal strip?

No. Each NasalFlow strip is single use. Once removed, the adhesive won't stick as well and the strip won't work as effectively, so use a fresh one each time.

Are NasalFlow nasal strips suitable for sensitive skin?

NasalFlow strips use a hypoallergenic adhesive that suits most skin types. Don't apply a strip over broken, sunburnt, irritated or sore skin, don't wear a strip for more than 12 hours a day, and stop using them if you notice a rash or irritation.

Can children use nasal strips?

NasalFlow nasal strips are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. They should not be used by children under 12. We recommend an adult helps younger teenagers apply and remove their strips until they are confident doing it themselves.

How much do NasalFlow nasal strips cost?

A pack of 60 large nasal strips costs £9.99. That works out at around 17p per strip and gives you about two months' supply if you use one a night.
